Meet Buffy & PC, my two adorable kitties. They were found abandoned in a cardboard box and taken to the RSPCA, which is where we met them - and fell in love! To begin with, we thought they were sisters, but now it seems more likely that PC is Buffy's mother. Either way, they are very close, and you can always count on Buffy to come see what PC is doing, and if she is missing out on anything tasty!

This is Buffy, all stretched out in her favourite sunning spot, on the back of the big armchair in the living room window. She's a big softy and loves to be stroked and petted but we're still getting her used to being picked up and cuddled.

This photo was taken just over a week after I got the cats - she looks so relaxed and settled! Click here to see her on her first day with us, looking all nervous poor kitty!

Buffy is an independent soul, and very bouncy, she loves racing up and down stairs and chasing around, leaping over PC and scrambling after bits of paper I throw for her. She also loves table scraps, and squeaks to remind us she is there waiting to help clear up!

Her markings are tortoiseshell, apparently, and she's the prettiest cat I ever did see. Even her little paw pads are unusual, some are pink and some black, on the same foot! And her lower lip is two-tone also, giving her such a sweet expression.

And this is PC, short for Pusscat. I'm still working on getting a good photo of her, black cats are hard to capture on camera. She looks a little surprised, as she'd just woken up and didn't expect to have a camera flash right in front of her nose!

It's taken us a little time to get to know PC, she went into heat that first day, so was behaving as oddly as cats in heat do. Now she's settled in and is back to her normal self, she's a real sweetie, such a cuddly cat, she loves to be held up close and enveloped in my arms while I whisper nice things at her, and pet her for hours.

On her first day with us, PC stayed quietly in her box, getting used to her strange surroundings. Click here for her first photo - rather bad timing on that washing, cat!

She doesn't bounce as much as Buffy, but PC will race around and scamper over furniture just as happily. She also has a strange fascination with gaps, and will stand gazing down the side of my bed or in-between the settee cushions very intently, most off-putting, I always wonder what it is she thinks she can see...

My old cat Muffin died last month, and the house felt so empty without him. It was really hard looking at all the rescue cats that looked so much like him, and we still miss him, but its good to have cats in the house once more!
