This is one of those things that you will either love or hate on sight. My response the first time I saw it was "oh, wow, cool!" I even parted with money for it... "it" being Athena, Warrior Goddess, here to save your screen. Although actually she seems to be the one destroying your screen with kicks and fireballs and other weapons, while the fearsome one-eyed spikey monsters float around restoring it. Still, never mind. This is an interactive game as well as a screensaver however, and you click around the screen with your mouse to guide Athena, then use the right mouse button to get her to attack. It's lots of fun, and has a good rock-style soundfile playing in the background. She's a woman of few words is our Athena: she shouts "Jah! Jah-ah!" a lot along with the high kicks, and also says "Ow!" fairly frequently, though I'm not surprised, those spikes on the monsters look very, um, spikey, to me. Oh yes, and no prodding at her with your mouse, she doesnt like that, and says "Hey, don't touch me!". You have been warned. Tacky? Most definitely. Politically incorrect to have a warrior woman in tight clothing? Maybe, though I can't see a problem. Fun? You betcha! This is shareware, but you can buy your very own Athena too.
